joonze okay, so since 12/28/12 when i had my heart attack, my dad has called me every weekend...every conversation has been 3 or less minutes...either by him or me...(we are the same personality, just a generation apart).

i love my dad, but never connected as he was never around...he always worked...but as an adult, i know why...he was raising six kids and a wife....all by himself...

now that im a dad with half the family size i understand...

well, besides that, he was never around for his grand kids and all my sisters and brothers have hard feelings for him...not me...he is my dad! my super hero...even if it just temporary

GhettoSloth my dad & i were never close growing up bro, workaholic
now he's the biggest support i got, he's totally helping me through all the legal issues i've got
in Arizona & NY... told me he'd even drive with me out to AZ if i have to appear.
he drove me to the airport when i took off to central america, when i handed him my phone
i said 'damn, how am i gonna tell the time?' he took the watch off his wrist & handed it to me.
this guy loves his kids with all his heart, just never knew how to show it

hears to connecting to our dads & our kids...

this is the first i heard about your ticker man... glad you made it through,
you gotta change yer lifestyle a bit, go easy with that grill of yours & get some exercise
like 'dancin at PhSSh' this year... we need ya healthy for terr

Babyrattlesnakes So happy to hear it, @joonze. My dad and I simply did not understand each other when I was in high school/college. Some years later, I'm happy to say that my dad (and my mom, for that matter!) is one of my best friends. I feel truly, truly blessed to have such a great relationship with both of them.

Voyager I think it's great that Joonze had that moment. Not a day goes by where I don't wish I could still talk to my dad, but sadly he's gone.

Is that #2? Regardless, good to see you are still hanging around. Cheers to connecting with your pops.
