OP's vote is a good one. DDL is amazing. In recent years Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds blew my mind. The opening scene where his character goes from jovial to predatory with a change in facial expression was what got him the oscar. For all time...Brando in the first Godfather.

Gary OldmanI can't narrow it to one performance, his body of work needs to be viewed as a whole to understand his greatness. He has portrayed so many vastly different characters over the years, I can't think of anyone else with that kind of range. Completely un-typecast-able. He becomes his character like no one else does. You never say to yourself "That's Gary Oldman" because he becomes his role so completely. A true master of his craft.
