About half way through high school I got into other bands such as phish and then eventually the dead. I know this chain is way bass ackwards, but it got me where I am today, A purely devoted Phan.
Somewhere I lost all interest in the Biscuits due to the changing tides at bisco. Did 08, 09, and 10, but 11 and 12's lineups made me sick to the stomach, and I felt betrayed by my roots.
On Thursday night I witnessed a self revival of hope and joy. I was really digging the biscuits after shoving them to the side for so long. It was a divine feeling
Now that I am older with more knowledge, I really understand the band and the scene more than ever. I feel like I never really appreciated the "trace" sections, but now it gets me going almost as much as phish (almost hate to say it).
I had no premonitions or predictions that this would ever happen. For all I thought, the biscuits were dead and I had moved on.
So, if you ever have pushed something out of you're picture due to the changing of times, keep in mind that the times are always changing, and what you loved once might make you happier than you ever though it would once again.
This morning they announced a surprise show at the fox theater here in boulder co.
I urge you to somehow make it to this show. They have been playing better then I ever thought possible and are know to DESTROY the fox.
Tix are sold out, but miracles do happen.
Sorry for such a long thread OP, but I am just really in total and utter shock from the last 3 nights and cannot wait for tonight!
Hope to see you there .net
Also, FWIW, some of my friends that were really into Bisco, not so much now, but havent fully written them off, went to some of the NY shows. When I asked them how it was, one of the comments was, "It reminded me why I liked them in the first place."
