Best Song in 3.0?

ShowOfMYFE Permalink
Tweezer 12.28.12 or Dick's Sand for me.

Tough to get much better than those.

I don't know if we should count segues. If so we could include the >Ghost from Dicks or UIC Waves>Undermind.

If we are talking about the best song in 3.0, in terms of new songs, I would vote for "Steam".

RovingReporter Bethel Number Line. Laugh all you want, but that song contains what I feel is the best jam of 3.0. Don't hate because you don't like the song.

I dissected it, as a musician myself, and concluded that the jam in that song was the best in 3.0. Patience, slow build up, it had it all.

n00b100 Best 3.0 song for me is Light, by a healthy margin.

Best jam of 2012? Twist, 6/22.

Best jam of 3.0? Rock & Roll, 8/5/11.

MiguelSanchez well, judging by the thread title, i was thinking the question was which song has had the best performances throughout the era. in this case, i have to say light or rock and roll. remember folks, rock and roll was a beast, night in/night out, throughout '09, a jam light year.

now, if we are talking individual performances, i think i call a "too close to call" between, you guessed it, the dick's light and the gorge '11 rock and roll.

Love the song but that version sits behind 8/16/09, 8/17/10 and 6/12/10 in the canons of 3.0 for me. But I know you love that one to death but all that atonal jamming at the 7:30 mark sounds like a lot of noise for me. It's never clicked for me.

My favorite jam is still the Gorge Gin. Honestly, I like the Bethel Waves Soundcheck more than anything, but that wasn't at an actual show so....
