I notice it a lot on 12/28's Free. I thought it was a rather sloppy rendition, but I think the Trey's jelly-like tone contributes to this perception.
I also noticed the heavy, shimmering use of vibe that run - 12.28 especially - and I liked it.
I am happy that Trey seems to be leaning more towards warmer tones lately. A couple years ago he was going for this really shrill sound that I didn't like so much. Only when he hit really high notes was it bothering me but... I suck at inglish.
Yeah he had a new amp up there supplying teh tonez, pretty nice
Noticed it immediately and thought it was the shit. It gave his sound a lot of character, which is one of my only complaints about a lot of the 3.0 era. Honestly I thought all of 2012 had a much improved Trey in that department. In Worcester this year, I kept marveling at how musical Trey was being with his pedals and different tones.

It's not the Super Tremolo. It's one of these.

It's sort of halfway between the Super Trem and the Leslie. Sounded KILLER at MSG.

It's not the Super Tremolo. It's one of these. That makes sense. The CAE trem is usually way more choppy than that sound. I like

he had it on like 99.5% of the entire 28th but not the rest of the run unless specifically turned on. i thought i was too far gone when it didn't stop being choppy.
@Dabblesauce, he hasn't been using the Leslie at all lately. I wish he would use it again, the roadies and techs deal with it only for it to just sit on stage unused.
@Momadan, weren't you the one who first found out he got the new amp? You should know the Fender amps he likes has the built in tremolo/vibrato. lol
He keeps Black Cat Super Trem set for the helicopter tremolos. The suble tremolo on the new Victoria amp is very nice. Great amp, I could see him relying on that amp if needed. You couldn't tell the difference if it wasn't for the built in tremolo. You're talking about the 2 amp setup in STL right? That was the old Fender DR he used in 2.0 and during small shows or sit-ins. Different than this. Or confusing me for someone else

Oh, ok I assumed it was an amp cause it was in an amp shell. Was clearly visible instage, on the left side of his rig. Victoria Reverberato......sweet!
