Wow! This is hilarious (from both sides). I posted the original article in the "Want to get Pissed?" thread here on .net. I've since learned that I should've copy/pasted the article in order to keep his hits down. Check. Will do next time.I also made the picture that says "I blow goats" but I only posted it once in the other thread. I'm flattered that it somehow got back to dear Ben and he felt inclined to include it in his "make-good" article.
Now, sure, maybe it was petty for me to start a hate thread about the guy here. But I also felt that his attack was not only on the band but the fans that listen to them. So, I had to respond in kind.
But I am surprised by everyone rising up to flood this guy's email and twitter accounts. And I don't think its completely a bad thing. Not the death threats per say -- that's really not my bag. When someone decides to go on the internet and spew hatred (regardless of the band, person, whatever) then they should be responded to. We should say, "Hey that's B.S. and I'm calling you out on it!" And this guy posted it onto the internetz knowing that a lot of people would see it and he's left himself open to a response. You can't just NOT respond to people acting like jerks.
Maybe the world could be a better place if we didn't tolerate this kind of stupidity.
I don't know. I mean we're talking about a band here not, like, Martin Luther King or someone as important, you know? But the guy made me mad and I had to share in my anger with like-minded pholks.
One thing's for sure, no one will ever talk shit about Phish publicly again. At least not without preparing for the impending wook attack.

I think it wouldn't be as big a deal if he just stuck to insulting the band. But the ass took a HUGE jab at the fan base calling us things like "human garbage". We see music critics burn the music all the time, but a lot of good hardworking people took offense to this and saw it as a personal attack. Of coarse everyone can have their own opinion. But like my daddy always said: opinions are like assholes. Everyone has em and they all stink!
