Uni-vibe clones

ledzepmaster Permalink
ledzepmaster I'm looking for an authentic uni vibe. I should have got a Black Cat Vibe over a month ago when they just came back into production before they were flying off the shelves... now it's a 4 week wait. Or the 70th anniversary Dunlop Jimi Hendrix tribute vibe. Now those pedals cost an arm and a leg.

The three solid ones I am researching is:

JHS Warbletron

Black Cat vibe of course

Sweet Sound Mojo vibe which is discontinued due to the creator passing to cancer in '08. They also make an Ultra vibe but I did not care for its sound and it's more money.

Not trying to spend $300 which is why I went with the Phase 45 mod from Analogman over a year ago, but it doesn't have the proper controls (speed, intensity and volume) it only has the standard MXR phase speed knob and the added switch to change from phase to vibe. Seems I'll have to pay 300 for any quality uni vibe.

Wondering what the other guitarists are using.

MomaDan Couple more choices, look these up. I'm probably going to go with a Haze Vibe soon, its one of the cheapest ones i've seen. I have a Wilson wah too which is really good so thats a nice endorsement

ledzepmaster The Wilson is pretty good, I know someone who owns one. It is just a little too bassy for my taste. Doesn't focus enough on treble frequencies. The demos I found of the Deja weren't doing it for me. Seemed too subtle which is the problem I have with my MXR.

Nice @skillz, I knew should have just bought one when I had the chance. That thing is already a collectible.

They still make the Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe. Best vibe in my opinion.

What do you think about the mini-vibe on here > http://www.analogman.com/blackcat.htm
Been out of production for years. Black Cat pedals just brought back the Black Cat Vibe into a new stomp box enclosure about 3 months ago and it looks much, much better. BUT, it requires a 12V adapter which I do not have space for atm and it's currently a 4 week wait. I have a Black Cat tremolo so, I don't need Black Cat everything.

I researched the JHS as much as possible and I am content with the choice and deal I made. So yea, I'll post a new pic later this week.

mgh2001 Generally speaking, low end parts produce low end results. High end parts, produce high end sounds, and cost more. Yeah, you will have to spend more than a 100$ on a pedal, is that so bad?
