Trey 5/11/99 6 song SBD

TwiceBitten Permalink
TwiceBitten This doesn't circulate as much as it should. These are FLAC files. They're not on the spreadsheet as far as I know, but I've just sent this link in. It's a mix of six songs from set II of the 5/11/99 show. Really fantastic stuff. Basically permagroove the whole time.

Roofless_Sheds can somebody check to confirm these aren't just transcoded mp3's from Trey's website many years ago? they were offered as a free 128k mp3 download.

that said... awesome stuff. still my favorite Jibboo by far, and a great primal-ooze version of Sand.

Hmmm... IMO it would indeed be worth checking for a transcode if they were circulated in mp3 at one time. OP's source is this one listed on etree, but the uploader was not sure where they ultimately originated from, he just got a cd in a trade, so it's possible his disc was mp3-sourced and he didn't know it. Someone could always do a spectral analysis, but if it was 128kbps I would think the mp3 lineage would be readily apparent just from listening. I'd like to think I'd be able to tell at least. I'll check it out.

spaced Yeah, not a transcode. It sounds great and the spectrogram bears it out. No way this was ever a 128kbps mp3, especially given the general shittyness of mp3 encoders back then.
