@mattsox94 - I totally failed at college in that I don't think I had a weekday morning where I could sleep in past 8:00 til my senior year. (due both to class and work-study.) But that was ok, as finishing classes early allowed me to play a lot of pickup basketball in the afternoons. A lot.

Early isn't too bad. I'm done classes early both days so I can go do work, do homework, run and of course listen to Phish. I'm trying to get through a show a day and my schedule helps.

Morning all, later post than usual since it's been a hectic morning.

Slowly getting back into the Grateful Dead again. I originally got into the Grateful Dead by walking around an FYE, seeing the cover of Live/Dead, thinking, "That looks cool," and listening to a sample of the first song on it, which of course, is "Dark Star." Hearing Jerry's guitar sound instantly hooked me, and I was off, downloading shows left and right. I eventually heard all I wanted to, and searched for the next band to dive into like that. Logically, it was Phish. Now I'm slowly moving back into Grateful Dead land. An earlier forum post has piqued my desire to listen to 11/17/73, it looks very tasty.

I only ever took one 8am class in my 4 years of college. My typical schedule was wake up at 11 or 12, have a few classes, work as a supervisor at the dining hall, and come home and do homework (beginning of the week) or drink (end of the week)

Also, I wish I wasn't about 8 and a half hours from all this great beer in Vermont. Heady Topper is currently my most wanted to try beer on my list. Once I have some time I'll have to make a weekend of it if Joelle wants to join.

You don't think a semi-organized barrage of tweets at Red Light Management and Phish would at the very least get noticed by them, possibly get a response, and perhaps create change?

Look at the recent Applebee's debacle, or Shapriogate. They're getting attention and responses.

In a word? No.

There's zero motivation for Phish to make a change. "Boy, I wish these tweets would go away, let's announce the dates!" There's nothing unethical about their practice and it really just sounds like one of the biggest #firstworldproblems ever. They do what they do for a reason and I would be very confident that there's more in play from a logistics and contract standpoint than anyone will comprehend.

...and this Shapiro(vice) thing is even worse. Embarassing. Get another f***ing hobby if you need to harass a comedian.

Also got her to agree to come in and fix the shower, which requires them taking down the wall and replacing all of the pipes on the inside. i am guesstimating that this will happen 4 months after we move out.

Part of me doesn't want dates because I'll just get the depression if there's no Vegas shows. Or I'll still be waiting months later for west coast dates

But having dates now would also make me happy because I could spend my time planning my girl terr trip and potentially starting my phishy decoupage project

I give a shit too. I also agree with wanting the damned 52 glitch gone and also the ability to quote yourself without hassle. KT can be useful to respond or correct something you said in a previous post if the 5 minute edit window has been missed.

@johnnyd thanks for the Waterbury rec. Haven't really spent much time there but it sounds like lunch flowed by a little walk around town may be in order. Then dinner somewhere in B-town. Damn it is going to be a fine fine day.

Blackback serves the Mad Taco that me and @birmy are always talking about, but not sure when they open.
The Reservoir has very decent bar food at good prices (and 38 draught lines). Pretty sure they are open for lunch.
Pro Pig is like a smokehouse - lots of pork. Outstanding cocktail menu, but I think that would be my third choice of the three. I don't think they open til evening though anyway.

Actually it seems like their new chef is doing much better with the food. We tried them a bunch of times from when they opened through about 6 months in, and the food just wasnt very good for the price. But recently we've been hearing some good things - good enough that we'll definitely give it another shot.

i just came in here to tell yall that I am havin a great day. It's a short work week for me--taking friday off and flying out to LA for mardi gras.

If you're not having a good week i feel for ya. The last couple months have been pretty shitty for me. Week after week, no christmas vacation, no MSG this year but i've been puttin in the time and it's been payin off.. So just remember that.... it'll all come back around.
