It's simple for me, honestly. The playing is just far superior in 1.0 than 3.0. You can't argue this. Plus the song selection was prime Phish. Not a fan of the new stuff getting thrown into setlists.

The below setlist is an example of just pure, 90's Phish at its finest. The peak. The Pinnacle.

The below is an example of a 3.0 show that is just, Meh, IMO. Like I just want classic 90's Phish tunes that accumulate that of what Phish was all about during the 90's.

Of course the times are different, the vibes, the energy, the crowd, the band, everything. Of course nothing will ever be able to replicate what Phish was during 1.0. And yes i'm glad the boys are back together playing. In no way shape or form and I jaded vet of any sorts. I'm just a 25 yr old dude that loves Phish, but when it comes to them, I'd pick 1.0 any second of any day over 3.0. Coming from someone who's only been to shows since 2011.

Wouldn't it be more fair to compare top 3.0 to top 1.0 or average 1.0 to average 3.0? I was at 7/2/16 and it doesn't hang with 12/31/95, but most shows in 1.0 don't compare to 12/31/95. How about Jam Night, Randalls 3, 12/29-30/18, 12/30/17, 8/22/15, or another show that is in the correct weight class?
