What a fun show last night in Missoula! It was great to see Billy up close & personal, telling stories & going solo acoustic on guitar, banjo and solo acapella (also plays a great mandolin). He seemed very genuine, and a little vulnerable, like we weren't going to like the show or something. He also made many references about loving and appreciating family with vibes out to Royal. My wife kept saying that he seemed so genuingly warm & friendly. When he asked "does anyone out there play stand-up-bass", about 30 people in the pit and seats raised their hands. Then when he asked "which one should I pick", a bunch of people in the pit and seats pointed to Paisely. She pretty much lost her shit when Billy called her up, but then pulled it together and played great (she was actually very loud in the sound mix)!

Was also really great to see the Kitchen Dwellers play with Billy - great week for them opening for Bob Weir and John Mayer, then 2 days later playing at Kettlehouse with Billy! Seems like Billy did a great job with the show given the circumstance that his bass player had to leave just hours before. got a few grainy pics I'll leave here.
