The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
After I read your article, I gave stash from "A Live One" a thorough listen and it became quite evident how Trey utilizes the tension and release concept you were focusing on. I must also say, the "orgasmic" energy ball at the climax of that particular stash became far more interesting and enjoyable now that I fully understand what is actually happening.
That guy on YouTube definitely knew what was up with SOAM and proved very useful in breaking it down into more manageable pieces. It also helped to see the him building the tension on the V and then resolving to D so I could see it used in context with him putting the text over the screen as it was happening.
After looking through oceansofosyrus.com, I'm definitely going to be bringing some theory questions over there because a man can only learn so much by himself.
