This is what you're ignoring. That "small constituency" is over half of the state. Every poll has at least half (usually over 60%)of WI voters opposing bill. If you would have polled them two weeks ago, when the bill was set to be shuttled through the capital with no discussion (yes, due to an overwhelming R majority rule who were elected, I get that), respondents would have said "What bill?". The Dems did what they had to do to allow the public to understand what was nearly passed behind our backs.

If you want to talk about trickery and shady (legal and illegal) political tactics, take a listen to Walker's phone conversation with the Koch impersonator. Far more shady ideas there than legally leaving the state to halt a bill from passing.

Believe me, I want those Dems to come back and settle this. But the administration has got to hear and account for what the people of the state think. And they are now starting to hear the people ( which is why the Koch brothers are spending millions on tv adds in WI right now). Walker won on his rail stance not his ideas about collective bargaining. I truly believe if he ran with this idea up front in his campaign he would have lost.
