The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
The Light might be a little more focused and deliberate, but that Tweezer just builds into something pretty special. For whatever reason, this was the hardest decision for me to make out of these pairings. I remember this Light really striking me when I first listened this past summer, but the highs of this Tweezer push it over the top for me.
7/24 Carini vs. 11/3 Melt
Another super tough one for me, I'm a sucker for big fat Mike basslines, and this Carini has that in spades. My recent post rock obsession helps to push this Melt into the next round though. Both really fun versions, and an apples/oranges comparison.
10/26 Tweezer vs. 8/7 DWD
Peaks on peaks.
10/23 Ghost vs. 8/3 Carini
Some super interesting stuff happening in this Ghost for sure, but the grandiosity of this Carini takes this one pretty convincingly for me.
'preciate yall. Hope everyone has a nice week.
