The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Fully agree. I actually have not listened to a great deal of this list, outside the sets I've personally attended. But I also don't think I've ever gone back and re-listened to a 3.0 show I've attended, so I'm really unfamiliar with just about everything on the list and have been amazed at how much good music there has been. Thanks, @n00b100 for going through this exercise which has opened the eyes (and ears) of even the most jaded of jaded vets
Oddly enough, in the top five, the sets I've been most underwhelmed by have been some of the ones I have personally attended. 7/13/14 II, for example, really didn't hold up upon re-listen, outside of the peak of the Tweezer jam. And 12/31/14 II, while strong for sure, didn't strike me as cohesive a unit as the two sets behind it - 7/31/15 II and 10/20/13 II (ones I did not attend).
