The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Trey apparently was trying to break the Guinness World Record for reciting Kung in the fastest time possible, blowing through the chant in less than 20 seconds. Referencing the Mockingbird narration from the previous night, Trey explains he has "said the magic words" to transport everyone to Gamehenge. Incredibly, that's it for Kung as the rest of the Harpua story moves on. If you would've told me the least notable Kung to date would've taken place in the middle of a Harpua towards the end of a legendary show, I'd have told you that 8/22/15 II must be one of the best sets of 3.0.
