The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
This morning I'm dealing with a client who signed on with us last week. He's officially my client as, in training for me getting a promotion I'm starting to take the lead on a few cases. Which is why it's all the more frustrating that he failed to mention, in our initial conversation last week that the IRS is holding $40,000 from his account!!! WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT? I can't get the funds released if you don't tell me they're being held! He's so casual about it too. If the IRS took $40,000 from me, I'd be sobbing. I'd be having a panic attack. I wouldn't fail to mention it to the person I hired to REPRESENT ME BEFORE THE IRS.
help me help you. help me help you.
Starting to really love these communities that I've accidentally tumbled into online. The fun thing about meeting people through places like .net is that they tend to be equally passionate and excited about things and really match your energy.
Desperately need to be productive and get my life together tonight.
Might dye my hair pink tomorrow. Who knows.
@straydogmatagram I love your travelogue. These are places that I travel through all the time and I think I take it for granted. Getting to read/see pictures from you trip makes me appreciate my home just a bit more.
@LizardwithaZ I felt bad because I couldn't stick to the chat last night but I always appreciate when you spin us a tune. WFAM for the win!
