The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
No problem, I agree with you. The shows were awful musically and I can’t imagine not having CK5 on lights. I remember checking out videos at the time and it felt so off. Also, I think if the story is true, this weekend was likely the verification that it needed to end and the subsequent nail in the coffin for 2.0. So your intervention comment is probably pretty spot on. I was speaking to the other comment. I’m mostly just saying the fact that their light guy and great friend was in rehab and Trey (supposedly) OD’d that run likely have much more to do with their hiatus than some bad reviews from pitchfork.
