So how'd the folks that explored the area do? Hopefully you all found some of our gems. Interesting to hear the comments on the new venue. I like the improvements. I was going to shows there when the stage was the same as used as when the National Folk Festival was held on the waterfront area. That was a temporary set up called the Railroad Stage. A lot less capacity, folding chairs, lines of porta potties and one beer tent at the very back with no beverages allowed out of that fenced of area. Saw Thorogood and Marshall Tucker there, along with many great acts at the Folk Festival. Please believe me, this is much better. Did any of you see the band back at the old "world famous" Bangor Auditorium? Now that was a horrible concert hall. I didn't see them there but did many others including the Ramones and Cheap Trick. See how old I am? The sound was SHIT due to the acoustics.
But I digress. Love to hear about peoples experiences in the area. Plenty of good suggestions were thrown out last week. Oh, and it's forecasted to be 91deg here this Saturday. So the weather gods were with us last weekend, as evidenced by the eagle. Hope you all saw that too. Very cool.
