The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

"They’re pretty good but beyond frenetic. As much as I wish them the best, I don’t see them getting too big. They sound like every band that came before them, with a guitarist who just rips scales up and down over a sort of trance style beat.
For the record, I do like them. They just scream generic every time I see them. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, so I apologize for a negative post, but I wish these young jambands would stop following the exact same script. It’s part of the reason I don’t go to 10 fests a year anymore, just feel like every band sounds the same. Get the pitchforks out, I deserve it for this comment. "
I don't follow this thread closely. Does someone bump this post every few months as they should?
I'm putting in for the lottery for the Columbus show this summer. Venue holds 5200. Should I be worried about tix? I've had zero issues getting tix for midwest Goose since I started seeing them in 2019 but I'm just not sure. They're playing Cleveland in a couple of months and sold out the Agora, but that place only holds 2000. "
outside of the bolded his comment is spot on. "
I grew up on 92-94 phish and my fav era of the Dead is the heavy cocaine use era.... nothing about Goose seems frenetic to me. "
My tune on Goose has changed tremendously after TABOose. I also now do see them getting huge. Sometimes I’m correct but I’m mostly just never correct. "
You should see how often I'm wrong on the college basketball board I post on. I'm sure my wrongness would easily put yours to shame.
You still feel they're too frenetic or has that changed?
