The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
12/29 Ruby Waves vs 08/02 Scents and Subtle Sounds - this was the closest of the bunch for me this round, but I liked the psychedelic turn in this Ruby a little more than the excellent SASS (which I'm guessing will probably win) - I'll take Ruby jams like this all day every day
02/26 Set Your Soul Free vs 12/30 Golden Age - I think these jams are actually pretty similar - straightforward for a while and then some nice interplay near the end - I'll take the final 3-4 of weirdness in the SYSF over the nice GA peak, though, by just a hair
07/24 A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing vs 04/22 Fuego - another monster jam from the 7/24 show that's totally different (in a great way) from the AWOH that proceeded it - this was an easy choice (despite a stellar Fuego - these Mexico shows are super underrated!)
