The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Say you don't want to buy 1lb of chicken from the grocery store. And everyone else decides to boycott this product. Boycotts; effective. Say the chicken producer makes lot sizes of 100,000 chickens per lot. Around the 90,000 or whenever, they need to produce another lot of 100,000 for the stores. If no one buys the first 90,000 chickens, then there will be no demand to produce another lot of 100,000 items.
Unfortunately for all of us, the Gov't propped up planes during pandemic and didn't ground a single one. So while their logic is right, the government subsidies makes you right.
