The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
If arms up guy blocking the view were just really tall, what then?
What if you’re short enough that your view is blocked by almost anyone standing, is it ok to stand on your seat thus blocking the view of those behind you?
I think we’re going to have to form a rules committee to pass judgement on all this egregious behavior! They can sit with security and watch over the venue for potential violations, then pass judgement and send the enforcement team to work. Should probably have a couple people with timers to check how long people have their arms up.
I’ve been called a curmudgeon but some of you make me feel like I’m an I-don’t-give-af 19 year old again. As long as you aren’t talking excessively, spilling fluids on me or crowding me we’re good. All the other annoying behaviors I just ignore.
