And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
it is kind of funny that a post this thoughtful will garner fewer responses than nonsense threads about things like goose or other hooey. i'm not sure most people have the capacity to coherently react to even this summary of 14 years of shows let alone digest and comment on the shows themselves.
i appreciate your comment about the "ranges" the sets sort of exist in. i always sort of stumped for the ratings when they return to be presented in general ranges not ranked or publicly acknowledged what the actual rating is. just sort of an expanding pyramid with the select top shows at the top and widening out more broadly.
if writing about music is in fact like dancing about architecture then you must be a hell of a dancer, n00b. thanks again for everything you have done for the community. i selfishly hope your contributions will continue in some form to help the rest of us digest and put into context all the tremendous music still to come.
