The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

"If he's been interviewed for Mark Maron's podcast? Not hardly, LOL.
Now Phish might not be right wing, but that said I can forgive people for being mistaken as they don't seem to take much of a position on these matters. I've actually been a bit critical of that aspect, as I think those who have a microphone in these times have some responsibility in using it appropriately and to speak to these times.. But righties? Dude's gotta be on some combo of white powders to think this is the case."
One of the best things Phish ever learned how to do as a band is shut the f*** up. We don’t really know much about their inner workings. They keep everything to themselves for the most part. Always have. People can only speculate, but if they don’t say anything specific on a subject then nobody knows exactly where they stand and can’t put words in their mouths.
It’s not Phish’s responsibility to speak up on politics and other things happening in the world. It’s their job to put out music and put on concerts. They have no obligation to “make a statement” and they clearly choose not to. I’m cool with that cause however much you may love Trey’s music, it doesn’t mean you should look to him for political advice. The same applies to every celebrity. If your views happen to align then that’s cool, but don’t let celebrities influence your beliefs and stances on subjects. Be your own person and make up your own mind.

You need to read some damned history.
No s#it, I had a vasectomy because of stuff like this. If people cannot speak out in the face of an open advertising fascist, I sure as hell would never never never never EVER have kids in this country.
I've went round and round with clergy and counselors alike on this one. They had a name for people who looked the other way while the Nazis hauled off their neighbors:
"Good Germans"
"........and you're a good American" - Sean Hannity"
….you got a vasectomy because Phish won’t make political statements? "
No, I got a vasectomy in part because this country is filled with a bunch of deliberately miseducated boobs that can't tell a fascist from their local insurance salesman.
You don't have children in a country that you know fascism is coming. Left undefended against/unchecked, a capitalist republic WILL GO FASCIST in due course.
"They were yearning for fascism before the term was conceived, before anyone knew of it." - Fritz Stern"
Deprive yourself of parenthood because of politics? Now that is an opinion better kept to yourself...
