The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
The site is built specifically to be used by fans, not scalpers. Profiles are public so you know who you're trading with -- you'll know exactly who is being a dick trying to upcharge you, and who that cool person is who hooked you up at face or discount. There is no auction that goes to the highest bidder.
If someone wants to sell their ticket, they can list it for face + fee, or whatever price.
If someone wants to buy a ticket, they can put a bid out there for face + fees, or whatever price.
You just set your desired price for a ticket. Then someone who can help you out comes along to help you out.
The bottom line is: my site offers a way to buy and sell tickets without additional fees, facilitating mobile ticket transfers through official apps that ensure authenticity and security. I'm offering it for free here because there should be an alternative to feeding the ticket scalper racket of StubHub, TM, vividseats, etc.
