The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
^^ A unique semi~lost word, " frain " !! : ) : )
I was looking up the word " infracosm " so first looked up " infra " to remember what it's considered to say, and it listed frain as an anagram.
Yes; i think, each tour's new expressions by everyone involved do have multitudes of character. each bands' overall live situations have unique limits that are nearly incomprehensible to outsiders, other than that they exist. Much of it is subconscious !!
In that same sense, I always like attempting to find answers for your questions , knowing that they are not accurate but that they continue the conversation !! Some of this is from earlier threads; I do think that the whole band and their team still really adores Bowie, Reba, Paug and others. so many of us, at certain times with enjoyable desperation, do wish they would pick back up Caravan but Trey did say something in an interview last year which sort of spoke to the concept of Phish as a band that did jazz covers, that it actually partially arose due to the requests of the venues they were playing where earlier clientele were older folks drinking wine !!
Ok!! i found a 1991 show including a set opening David Bowie !!

I didn't realize Phish had ever played here ?? !!
it's an incredibly essential campus and library to me !! after having mostly gotten through college elsewhere but not quite ( which i now know is because for one reason or another i needed to stay intellectually similar to a college student for many more years ), so starting in 2012 i began continuing my education by visiting their library usually in the summertimes. There are many silktrees growing through the forests along the very large parking lot from which i would walk up to the library, which is how i finally really noticed them. Similarly i know i wouldn't have been able to appreciate Phish enough to actually fully get into them in 2015 without that library existing and the experiences of finding my own ways through the many worlds of creative expressions of ideas !!
i am overjoyed that this is a real concert and that there's a recording !! : ) : ) If the tape stays sounding like this Landlady, this is an otherworldly audience recording !! it is akin to listening back to somewhere in the auditorium directly through a temporeal opening in the universe somehow. : ) : ) There is so much dimension to each part of each instrument and wonderful representation of the overall acoustic environments and audience !! So, although i haven't heard this Bowie yet, it's likely to bring you to many good places !!
