The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
- Muddy Waters, Folk Singer (Stereo version 1977)
This album came out in 1964, and I believe it’s his only full acoustic release. Buddy Guy is playing acoustic guitar with Willie Dixon on upright Bass and Clifton Jones on drums. It’s a smoker.
I usually play Good Morning Little School Girl if I ever need to do a sound check. It’s soo good!
I also have a CD which sounds great also.
Still looking for a mono release to compare, but they are usually way out of my price range.
Get any version of this album you can right now! It even sounds good on streaming.
- D’Angelo, Black Messiah (2015)
Great sounding album. It may not be the preferred genre of music for some, but it’s definitely one of the best sounding records in my collection. It goes very deep.
- King Crimson, In The Court Of The Crimson King (2020, 200 gram heavyweight vinyl)
Quite possibly my top sounding record.
- Willie Nelson, Stardust
I’m not sure what pressing I have, but this is my favorite Willie album by a mile.
All covers and it sounds like Willie is sitting on a stool playing Trigger 10 feet in front of you.
With his family band and produced by Booker T.
It’s perfect whenever you find yourself in the mood that this album plays to.
- Beach House, Teen Dream (2010 Bella Union pressing)
I just really love this record
