The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
8/30 Dick’s Ruby Waves
8/11 Bethel AC/DC Bag
8/4 Deer Creek Soul Planet
Attendance bias on the Bethel Bag, but I do think it is the better jam in this matchup. It was part of a raging, "all killer no filler" second set at a Sunday show in Bethel. Bag was idea rich, conveyed some influences of Billy Strings' time with the band a few nights earlier, and blew up into an amazing and multi-faceted jam. Still delivers on the relistens.
Rest of the choices were relatively straightforward for me, some strong outings this week.
