The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we’re entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we’ve distributed over $1,000,000 to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Well said. I’m for any and everyone to be in love. It makes me sad when people don’t find love. I’m blessed to have a great wife. I see it no different than any other kind of love. To each their own. And to each may their heart swell with love in any form. Also LGBQT people are brave. My family walks in any place and people see cool white people (LOL). A family that fits the LGBQT and they light up the room. I’m proud of them. My sister is gay and I couldn’t be prouder. And she’s an excellent mom. Why try to take that away. As she kept that in her pocket for like 30 years which broke my heart she didn’t even trust me but as she explained it wasn’t about me. It was about her. And we live in the south and I didn’t think my grandparents, ants and uncles would allow her and her wife to come to Christmas so I told my family me and my wife and kids would boycott Christmas. But the people that accepted her were the 85 year old granddaddy on one side of the fam and the 92 year old Mema on the other side. They understood love and time. I was as proud of them as I was my sister. Now I don’t go to those events because of the judgemental aunts and uncles and sadly even my parents though they like her better than me. To all I hope you find love with the partner you want.
